WTA ma niby dawno swój peak za sobą. Świadczy o tym wygrywająca w finale Serena w ciąży po 18 latach od pierwszego triumfu podczas zeszłorocznego AO (u RF, będzie to 15 jeśli dziś wygra) albo Venus robiąca połówki jak na zawołanie po 17 latach od szczytowego momentu kariery, ale to i tak sporo lepiej niż ATP, co widać po porównaniu meczu wczorajszego i dzisiejszego, uwzględniając wszelkie proporcje.

Bo w WTA jest jeden cyborg - Serena (która teraz nie gra), a w ATP masz ich czterech-pięciu (z których trzech nie gra, a pozostali co jakiś czas walczą z kontuzjami). Bez Big 4 i Stana też byłyby takie nieprzewidywalne rozstrzygnięcia w ATP

Naprawdę sądzisz, że akurat ja bym się aż tak krępował? Nie, serio Karolina zasługuje na docenienie za różne aspekty, a zdjęcia miewa ładne, choć mnie jej wyżyłowane wdzięki nie jarają aż tak mocno, jak np. Lucasa. Gdyby chodziło np. o Cibulkową, napisałbym "Za ZDJĘCIA" i pewnie niewiele więcej.

Nosz piszę przecież, że się ładnie wypośrodkowała między wyżyłowaniem, a pyzą. I jest teraz dość optymalnie, bym rzekł. Ale co kto lubi, grunt, że forma sportowa wysoka.

The Dane's return to the top spot will break Serena's record for the longest gap between stints at No. 1. (5 years, 29 days - from August 10, 2003 to September 8, 2008).

Halep is now the eighth woman in the Open Era to lose her first three Grand Slam finals, after Helena Sukova, Wendy Turnbull, Chris Evert, Jana Novotna, Mary Joe Fernandez, Kim Clijsters and Dinara Safina.
The Romanian is also the second woman to lose all three of those finals in a third set, joining Novotna.
