I właśnie to zrobiłem.

Boynton On Hurkacz’s Under-The-Radar Miami Run: ‘The Pressure Is Off’
Spoiler:
Hurkacz into first ATP Masters 1000 SF in Miami
Albert Einstein might have been right to say that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insane. But Einstein was never a coach on the ATP Tour, where ‘sticking to the process’ has been a key part of Craig Boynton’s game plan at the Miami Open presented by Itau.
His player, Hubert Hurkacz, had made a dream start to the 2021 season after lifting his second ATP Tour trophy at the Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com. But the Pole struggled to back up that result in the weeks that followed, only winning back-to-back matches at one of his next five tournaments.
For Boynton, it was an admittedly tough sell to tell his player to stay the course, and follow the game plan that previously took him to a Top 30 breakthrough and an ATP 250 title. After second-round exits in Rotterdam (l. Tsitsipas) and Dubai (l. Shapovalov), the pair sat down to outline their plan heading into the year's first ATP Masters 1000 event.

“I had to talk to Hubi a couple of days in a row before the tournament [and told him], ‘You just have to let the things happen,’” Boynton told ATPTour.com. “‘Just let them happen, because you’ve been putting in the work.’
“Because we have been working hard. I don’t think we’ve had a day off, aside from a travel day, in maybe six weeks. So we’re really putting in the work, and he’s really doing the things on a day-to-day basis. But you’ve just got to let go and let it come to you. Let the improvements come, let the work happen.
“You don’t sit in front of a microwave and scream at it to hurry up, it cooks when it cooks. Things happen when they happen.”
In Miami, 26th seed Hurkacz passed an early test against Denis Kudla, and earned a confidence-boosting dose of revenge over Denis Shapovalov 6-3, 7-6(6). After coming back from a set down to 12th seed Milos Raonic, Hurkacz quietly booked his spot into his second ATP Masters 1000 quarter-final.
“When you hit a bit of a skid, it’s kind of easier to just brush it off. Because you know what you don’t want to do, you know what’s not working,” Boynton said.
That ‘skid’ also had the effect of helping to deflect attention off of Hurkacz, and onto other 25-and-younger players making their own breakthroughs in Miami.
“The pressure is off a little bit, so to speak. You’re not really on anybody’s radar, no one really has any expectations,” Boynton said. “So you can just kind of hunker down and get in your own little space to work on a couple of things. When you start to do those things well, and it leads to doing a couple of other things well, that’s when you start creating momentum.”
How To Watch
Boynton, who has worked with players like Jim Courier, John Isner and Mardy Fish in the past, has been pleased with the mental calmness Hurkacz has been able to find in Miami.
Nowhere was this more evident than in the 26th seed’s come-from-behind stunner over second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas – another player who defeated Hurkacz in the build-up to Miami. This time, he toppled the Greek 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to extend his unbeaten run in Florida this year to eight matches.
“His mental fortitude during these matches has been terrific. That’s really what we’ve been working on a lot,” Boynton said. “He’s really made the right choices, and he’s really been resilient – as you could see today [against Tsitsipas]. That he didn’t get off to the most flying of starts would be an understatement, but he just stuck with it.
“He fought and overcame a huge deficit, and was able to work his way back into the match, which was just wonderful to see.”
Boynton will be looking for that same mental clarity and fight as Hurkacz targets his first ATP Masters 1000 championship match in Miami. He awaits the winner of fourth seed Andrey Rublev and #NextGenATP American Sebastian Korda.
The 24-year-old owns 1-0 ATP Head2Head records against both men, with Hurkacz defeating Korda in Delray Beach earlier in the year.
“When you’re able to just keep things simple mentally and just focus on a couple of small things, then those things that you’re working on will start coming good,” Boynton said. “And then you get momentum, and a couple of other things are coming good. You fight your way through a couple of matches, and now you’ve got momentum and confidence.”

Stefanos miał go pod kontrolą. Hubi przegrywał 2:6 , 0:2 i 15:40 .
To zmieniło cały obraz meczu ."
Huge comeback by Hurkacz sends Tsitsipas packing from Miami
1 apr 2021 by Ricky Dimon
Hubert Hurkacz upsets Stefanos Tsitsipas in three sets at the Miami Masters 1000 on Thursday.
Miami Open, quarter-final
Hurkacz (No 26) d. Tsitsipas (No 2) 2-6, 6-3 6-4
The headline: Hubert Hurkacz comes back from a set and a break down to upset second-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas at Miami Open Other key info: Andrey Rublev is now the only top 10 player remaining in the men’s singles draw. Why you should read this story: It was a stunning comeback by Hurkacz to reach his first Masters 100 semi-final.
Another top seed fell victim to an already depleted Miami Open men’s singles draw when Stefanos Tsitsipas lost to Hubert Hurkacz in a three-set battle during quarter-final action on Thursday afternoon. Tsitsipas squandered a set and break lead as Hurkacz roared back from a seemingly inevitable defeat to triumph in two hours and 20 minutes.
Slow start with a lot at stake
With the Big 3 skipping this Masters 1000 event and top seed Daniil Medvedev having lost to Roberto Bautista Agut in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night, this title is completely up for grabs. That can put extra pressure on the remaining participants — especially for Hurkacz, who had never previously advanced even to a semi-final at this level.
In the first set against Tsitsipas, the Pole played like the moment was too big for him. He won only 58 percent of his first-serve points in the opening frame, was broken twice, and failed to convert any of three break points.
It appeared to be all but over for Hurkacz when he dropped serve again in the second to fall behind 6-2, 2-0.
Improbable comeback by Hurkacz
Instead, Hurkacz decided that he was not about to go away without a fight. The world No 37 broke back immediately for 1-2 and from there he was off to the races. With Hurkacz raising his level and Tsitsipas growing increasingly frustrated that his lead evaporated, the tide turned swiftly and dramatically.
After losing the second set, Tsitsipas began the decider with time violation and the loss of a first serve. The fifth-ranked Greek lost that opening point but ended up holding with relative ease. However, he could not recover after losing serve in the fifth game. Tsitsipas’ last chance came in the sixth game, but a break point went by the wayside. Hukacz managed to hold for 4-2 and kept his foot on the gas the rest of the way. A clutch and convincing hold at 5-4 wrapped up the proceedings in style for Miami’s No 26 seed.
“I was trying to keep fighting and that’s what I did,” Hukacz explained. At the beginning of the match I was going for too much. I tried to adapt my game…. [I’m] super pumped and happy that I turned this match around…. It’s so big; it’s a super big win for me. I can’t wait for the next match.”
Hurkacz’s success sends him through to a Masters 1000 semi-final for the first time in his career. He awaits either Andrey Rublev or Sebastian Korda.
Rublev is the title favorite now that Medvedev and Tsitsipas are out.
Wiecie, co łączy Igę i Huberta?
Oboje byli niedoceniani (i to BARDZO) - Iga na Roland Garros 2020, Hubert w Miami 2021
Dziś się czyta po różnych forach takie teksty: Hurkacz was very underrated, nobody took him into account and now look at him, in his first final of Masters 1000 - leaving out Raonic, Tsitsipas and Rublev
- Same as Iga was overlooked in RG last year.

Hurkacz Halts Rublev To Reach First ATP Masters 1000 Final In Miami
Spoiler:
19-year-old Sinner awaits in Miami championship match
Hubert Hurkacz took one step closer to lifting his first ATP Masters 1000 trophy after toppling fourth seed Andrey Rublev 6-3, 6-4 at the Miami Open presented by Itau on Friday.
The 26th-seeded Pole never allowed Rublev settle into a rhythm and unleash his powerful baseline game. Hurkacz fired 25 winners and broke serve three times across an hour and 28 minutes to reach the biggest final of his career.
“It means a lot, especially after winning a title at the beginning of the year, I had a couple of rough matches,” Hurkacz said in his on-court interview. "So I’m so happy that I came over and I was still trying to improve my game and trying to be a better player. This is really huge for me."

The fast-rising Pole has been looking right at home on the courts in Florida, where he lives and trains part-time – and where he began the season with a run to his second ATP Tour trophy at the Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com. Hurkacz’s win over Rublev is also the ninth consecutive match he has won in Florida this year.
He can make it 10 in a row with a victory over 21st seed Jannik Sinner – his good friend and occasional doubles partner – in the championship match. The 19-year-old Italian is also into his maiden ATP Masters 1000 final and looking to seal a breakthrough week by becoming the youngest champion in tournament history.
“We played doubles together last week in Dubai,” Hurkacz said. “Now we’re playing in the final of a Masters 1000 event, so it’s going to be a fun match.”
Hurkacz brought a 1-0 ATP Head2Head lead into his semi-final against Rublev, having claimed victory in their only previous encounter last year at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome. He made a rapid start on Grandstand, where he quickly broke the Rublev serve to take a 3-0 lead.
Coming into the semi-finals, fourth seed Rublev had only dropped serve twice in the entire tournament – both times came at the hands of Sebastian Korda in the previous round – and had yet to drop a set. From 1-5 down, the Russian saved five set points across three games to narrow the gap, but Hurkacz sealed the set after 40 minutes.
How To Watch
Hurkacz continued to frustrate Rublev with an early break in the second set, breaking up the rallies with forays to the net and changing the direction of the ball with his backhand. Rublev once again had to dig deep to save a match point on his serve at 5-3 and push the Pole to three break points in the next game. But Hurkacz fired his eighth ace of the match to bring up his third match point, and he closed out the victory for a spot in the final.

Away from home in lockdown, the Polish star talks about how he's learned to love salad and veggies
Editor's Note: Hubert Hurkacz reached his first ATP Masters 1000 final on Friday at the Miami Open presented by Itau. This story was originally published on 14 April 2020.
Hubert Hurkacz, who has adhered to a vegan diet for the past two years, caught up with ATPTour.com this week about his food choices and favourite meals.
What made you go vegan? Was it a result of tests or a recommendation?
It was a little bit of recommendation, but also watching programmes about food. I started to feel pretty good, with more energy, so I continued with it.
What is your go-to meal to cook during the stay-at-home order?
With my cooking skills, it’s pasta, with some veggies, tomato sauce and maybe some nuts. That would be for lunch.
What foods would you eat in Poland that you can’t find anywhere else?
It’s pretty easy to find all sorts of foods, but I do like Indian, Thai food, Pad Thai, which I’ve eaten for a couple of days. It’s still okay to get food where I am in Florida, maybe with the exception of toilet paper, which is pretty tough.
What unhealthy foods would you like to eat but you don’t?
I’m not really a fan of sweets, but I do love ice cream. There are some vegan options too.
Aside from pasta, what other food do you like to cook?
I eat some Burritos, with some veggies inside, and guacamole.
What's your favourite fruit?
I really like strawberries, I think they taste great.
Are there any foods you disliked as a kid that you eat now to help your diet, or just because you like it?
I think when I was a kid, I didn’t like salad at all and I didn’t like most of the veggies. Now I’ve got used to them and they taste good.
What do you typically eat during a match? Anything particularly interesting?
I’d probably eat something two hours before a match, but it’s tougher when they play best-of-five as you never know when you may start. You can eat snacks, but I eat rice, veggies and tomato sauce before a match. During the match, I eat bananas and dates that give me energy.

Which city on the ATP Tour has the best food and why?
I think Shanghai is very good. They have catering from Austria, it’s really great and you can order whatever you want.
Which three heroes/celebrities would you invite to dinner and why?
It would be nice to have dinner with Roger [Federer], Robert Lewandowski, a Polish footballer, and I’m struggling for a third person…!
