Zverev osiąga rekordowy ranking - 4. pozycję - bez ćwierćfinału szlema.

Two of the standout performers at the US Open have put themselves firmly in contention to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals in London. With just eight weeks of the regular ATP World Tour season remaining, Pablo Carreno Busta and Kevin Anderson have surged forwards in the Emirates ATP Race To London as they bid to qualify for the first time. View Emirates ATP Race To London Carreno Busta, who reached his first Grand Slam semi-final in New York, losing to Anderson, is up to eighth in the year-to-date standings, although Stan Wawrinka at fifth has already ruled himself out for the remainder of the season. Carreno Busta was also a quarter-finalist at Roland Garros earlier in the year and won his third ATP World Tour title in Estoril (d. Muller). Anderson, who finished runner-up to Rafael Nadal at Flushing Meadows, is up to 11th, although he is still behind Novak Djokovic, who is also sidelined for the rest of 2017. The South African has risen 17 places in the standings after a remarkable run in New York, made all the more significant by the injury woes that plagued him in the first half of the season. Nadal and Roger Federer have already secured their spots at the elite eight-player tournament, to be held at The O2 in London from 12-19 November. Alexander Zverev is next in line to qualify, at third in the standings. The 20-year-old German has won two ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments in his standout season, but failed to make a further push for London as he suffered a surprise second-round exit at the US Open (l. to Coric). Dominic Thiem reached the fourth round at the US Open as he cemented his place among the Top 4 in the year-to-date standings. The Austrian is looking to qualify for the year-end championships for the second year in a row. As the race starts to countdown, Grigor Dimitrov, Marin Cilic and Sam Querrey will all look to add crucial points to their tallies in the coming weeks.

Pojawił nam się Carreno Busta na 10-tym miejscu. Ciekawe, czy zdetronizuje Juana Monaco w rankingu MTF-owym na najgorszego zawodnika w TOP10 w historii.

ATPWorldTour.com looks at the top Movers of the Week in the Top 100 of the Emirates ATP Race To London, as of Monday, 9 October 2017
No. 15 Nick Kyrgios, +5 The Australian star put himself within striking range in the Emirates ATP Race To London with a strong performance at the China Open, where he advanced to the final (l. Nadal). Kyrgios earned 300 points to move his total to 2,000 points in the Race, which put him into the No. 15 spot. Since No. 7 Stan Wawrinka and No. 10 Novak Djokovic are both out for the rest of the season due to injury, Kyrgios is only behind five active players as he attempts to qualify for his first Nitto ATP Finals. He is 740 points behind David Goffin, who currently occupies the eighth and final qualifying spot. Pablo Carreno Busta, who is No. 9 in the Race would get into London today due to Wawrinka’s injury, and Kyrgios is 595 points behind him as the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event in Shanghai begins. No. 8 David Goffin, +5 The Belgian broke into the Top 10 of the Emirates ATP Race To London with his second title in a row, capturing the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships after winning the Shenzhen Open. Goffin also tied his career-high in the Emirates ATP Rankings at No. 10, after he originally reached that spot in February following a final appearance at the ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament (l. Tsonga). He never played as the No. 10 player during that stint, as he only held the ranking for the week of 20 February, when he was not in action. Goffin then re-gained his Top 10 spot for four weeks in April and May. Since 21 March of last year, Goffin has been ranked between No. 10 and No. 15 in the world. He moved to No. 8 in the Emirates ATP Race To London with his Tokyo title, putting him in position to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals. He will have an opportunity to better his chances this week in Shanghai. No. 5 Grigor Dimitrov, +1 While the Bulgarian dropped a tough three-setter in the Beijing semi-finals against World No. 1 Rafael Nadal, it was good enough to bump him up one spot in the Emirates ATP Race To London. Dimitrov now has 3,275 points in the Race, and is in prime position to qualify for his first Nitto ATP Finals. The man he moved past, Marin Cilic, is just 100 points behind him. Dimitrov can move even closer to securing his spot this week in Shanghai, where he is projected to face Nadal once again, this time in the quarter-finals. No. 74 Steve Darcis, +11 While the Belgian was forced to retire from his quarter-final match at the China Open against Kyrgios, the qualifier’s effort was still good enough to make a sizeable jump in the Race. After toughing out World No. 122 Peter Polansky in two hours and 39 minutes in the final round of qualifying, Darcis managed to upset Pablo Carreno Busta, who is No. 9 in the Race standings. Darcis is not competing this week in Shanghai. No. 86 Marius Copil, +16 Not only did the Romanian reach a career-high of No. 75 in the Emirates ATP Rankings this week, but he jumped 16 spots in the Emirates ATP Race To London as well after an appearance in the final of the 2017 Kaohsiung OEC Open. Copil continued a strong run in recent weeks after he advanced to the quarter-finals at the Moselle Open and then reached the Round of 16 in Shenzhen. Other Top 100 Movers This Week No. 39 Richard Gasquet, +4 No. 46 Ryan Harrison, +3 No. 68 Evgeny Donskoy, +7 No. 78 Laslo Djere, +12

Cilic Inches Closer To London Spot, Mover Of The Week
Spoiler:
ATPWorldTour.com looks at the top Movers of the Week in the Top 100 of the Emirates ATP Race To London, as of Monday, 16 October 2017
No. 5 Marin Cilic, +1
The Croatian is close to booking his third trip in the past four years to the Nitto ATP Finals, to be held 12-19 November at The O2 in London. Cilic climbed one spot in the Emirates ATP Race To London by reaching the semi-finals at the Shanghai Rolex Masters (l. to Nadal). Read Report
The 6'6” right-hander has 3,535 points in the Race, 80 points ahead of Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, who's looking to make his debut at the prestigious tournament. The top eight players qualify for the season-ending event. Cilic will look to finalise his London plans in the coming weeks as the ATP World Tour regular season heads into its final stretch.
No. 14 Nick Kyrgios, +1
The Australian right-hander remains in contention to make his first appearance at the Nitto ATP Finals, despite a first-round exit at the Shanghai Rolex Masters (ret. vs. Johnson). Kyrgios is in 14th place in the Race, 595 points behind ninth-placed Pablo Carreno Busta, who has 2,605 points.
The Spaniard holds the final qualification spot, with seventh-placed Stan Wawrinka out of contention for the season due to injury. Kyrgios has a chance to gain more ground this week. The 22 year old is the third seed at the European Open in Antwerp.
No. 17 John Isner, +2
The 6'10” American is now one big run away from joining the Nitto ATP Finals conversation. Last week, Isner reached the third round at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai (l. to Troicki).
Isner has 1,905 points, exactly 700 behind Carreno Busta. But with the final three weeks of the regular season on quick surfaces indoors, Isner could continue climbing. One year ago, he reached his third Masters 1000 final at the Rolex Paris Masters in November before falling to then World-No. 1 Andy Murray in three sets.
No. 18 Juan Martin del Potro, +7
The popular Argentine thrust himself into the London conversation with his impressive play in Shanghai. Delpo, who reached the 2013 Shanghai final, fell one match short of repeating that run, losing in the semi-finals to eventual champion Roger Federer.
But del Potro is in prime position to continue ascending the Race standings. He returns to Stockholm this week as the defending champion of the Intrum Stockholm Open.
No. 29 Richard Gasquet, +10
A back injury and appendicitis surgery kept the Frenchman out of the season's first five Masters 1000 events. But last week, at the season's penultimate Masters 1000 tournament, Gasquet tried to make up for those lost opportunities.
The right-hander made the quarter-finals in Shanghai, fighting through three consecutive three-set matches before losing to eventual champion Federer. Gasquet has had an injury-riddled season. Back problems also forced him to withdraw from Bastad and Hamburg, and he had to pull out of his third-round match at Roland Garros because of a thigh injury.
Other Top 100 Movers This Week
No. 30 Andrey Rublev, +2 No. 35 Alexandr Dolgopolov, +2 No. 41 Steve Johnson, +4 No. 49 Jared Donaldson, +2 No. 52 Viktor Troicki, +14 No. 58 Jan-Lennard Struff, +7 No. 78 Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, +17

MTT - Finały (9) 2015: Kuala Lumpur 2016: Queens, Sankt Petersburg 2017: Waszyngton, Winston-Salem, US Open, Sankt Petersburg, WTF 2018: Doha
A więc jeśli Fed ogarnął by Basel, miałby 1460 pkt straty do Rafy przed Bercy, a później pozostaje jeszcze 2500 pkt, więc w Londynie może jeszcze być ciekawie.

Moim zdaniem jedyny choć trochę realny scenariusz, to Rafa nie gra do końca sezonu, a Fed wygrywa Bazyleę i Londyn wycofując się z Paryża.
