Nadal miał w 2017 roku 6-9 (0,400), a Dimitrov 7-15 (0,318).
Jeszcze jedna ciekawostka - w tym roku Federer wygrał 34 mecze w formule Bo3, z czego tylko 8 kończyło się w 3 setach (24%). Dla porównania Nadal miał tu jeszcze lepszy bilans (7/44=16%), a przykładowy Jack Sock w ponad połowie spotkań do dwóch wygranych setów tracił jedną partię (18/35=51%).

'I just can't wait to come back': Roger Federer reveals his goals for 2018

Federer will begin the new campaign at the Hopman Cup that gets underway on 30 December. The Swiss ace won seven titles this year, including two Grand Slams. By Abhinav Kini December 3, 2017 11:40 GMT Roger Federer Federer celebrates with the Australian Open trophy earlier this year Getty World number two Roger Federer has revealed his goals for 2018 as he looks to emulate what has been a "surprising" year of results.
Federer ended a run of five years without a Grand Slam when he returned from an injury lay-off to win the Australian Open in January earlier this year.

Despite being just over 1,000 points behind the Spaniard, Federer's goal for the new season is not to become world number one for the first time since 2012. Instead, his goal is to simply just play well again like he did in 2017, particularly in the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
"Coming off the back of this season is already so exciting," Federer said, as quoted by Tennis World USA. "I just can't wait to come back to all the tournaments I played so well this year, you know.
"This year was so surprising in so many ways that I just hope I can play well again in Australia, do well again at Wimbledon.

Roger Federer did what?!?! The numbers behind his stellar season
Spoiler:
Yes, it was a disappointing end to the 2017 season for Roger Federer, who Saturday fell to David Goffin in three sets at the ATP World Tour Finals.
But as he said in his news conference, it was a small setback in an otherwise terrific season, especially when you consider the way his past few years had gone.
Most notably, Federer snared two more Grand Slam titles, bringing his total to 19. So with that, we give you a look at the top 19 things Federer accomplished in 2017, courtesy the ATP Tour and the ESPN Stats & Information team:
1. Passed Roy Emerson by winning multiple majors in the same season for the sixth time.
2. One of three men in the Open era age 30 or older to win multiple majors in the same year (1969 Rod Laver and 2017 Rafael Nadal).
3. Became the oldest player to finish in top two of the ATP Rankings since its inception in 1973.
It goes without saying that at 36 years old, Roger Federer strung together one of the best seasons of his career. Clive Brunskill/Getty Images 4. Won seven titles, his most since capturing eight in 2007.
5. Went 7-1 in finals after going only 12-13 from 2013-2016.
6. Reached 95 career titles, passing Ivan Lendl for the second most in the Open era (Jimmy Connors, 109).
7. Went 14-2 against top-10 opponents this season, his best such winning percentage since going 18-0 in 2004.
8. His 52-5 match record was the best winning percentage (.912) among all ATP players.
9. Won 50-plus matches in a season for the 14th time, tying Connors for the most in the Open era.
10. At the Aussie Open, became the oldest man, at 35, to win a Grand Slam title since Ken Rosewall won the 1972 event Down Under at 37 years old. Fed was five months older when he went on to win Wimbledon in July.
11. In Melbourne, Federer became the fourth man in the Open era to beat four top-10 seeds in one Grand Slam -- and the first player to do this since Mats Wilander at the 1982 French Open.

Już kiedyś miałem to napisać - teraz na YT co czwarty mecz z challengerów ma rozsądne highlightsy, a żeby zrobić interesujący filmik z fabsterów to trzeba się postarać. To powyżej to dobry przykład.
No, przesadziłem, ale te bardziej ogarnięte challengery to czasami zdumiewająco powszechne na YT.
Roger Federer: Former coach makes bold claim despite Nadal, Djokovic and Murray return
Spoiler:
ROGER FEDERER fans can expect at least two more seasons of domination from the tennis legend after he shocked the world in 2017. By JOE SHORT PUBLISHED: 08:01, Tue, Dec 26, 2017
Roger Federer Paul AnnaconeGETTY
Roger Federer's former coach Paul Annacone reckons he will still be at his best in 2019 That is according to his former coach Paul Annacone, who reckons Federer this year has proved why he is one of the greatest ever players of the game.
Federer won two Grand Slam titles in 2017 after a four-year drought in the majors.
He ended the season as the world No 2, behind fellow veteran Rafael Nadal, and appeared to be at the top of his physical game.
Expectations were low at the start of the campaign but now, 12 months on, fans are hoping Federer can reach 20 Grand Slam titles in 2018.
That is despite the expected return of Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.
And Federer's former coach Annacone, who also mentored Pete Sampras in the 1990s and early 2000s, reckons the Swiss great has the capacity to maintain this level until the end of the 2019 campaign.

“After watching Pete and what he went through and then win the US Open in 2002, I kind of held up my hands and decided never to predict what a great athlete can do,” Annacone told Express Sport.
“Because those guys are the more exception than the rule.
“With Roger he is so different and such a freak of nature in a good way that I don’t know what to predict anymore.
“When you look at his skills sets and how well Roger played in big moments this year, I don’t know why he can’t sustain that for another, let’s say, 12 to 24 months.”

Paul Annacone coached Roger Federer between 2010 and 2014 Federer INTERRUPTED by Sock during post-match interview Play Video Federer, 36, will compete in his 20th pro tour next season.
The resurgence came after he took six months out in 2016 to recover from injuries after crashing out of Wimbledon at the semi-final stage.
He returned to win the Australian Open and Wimbledon to take his overall Grand Slam haul to 19.
But Annacone reckons 2018 could be his toughest season to date.
“Again so much of it at this stage of his career is about staying healthy,” he added.
“And making sure he plays his best tennis at the big moments, which he is very good at scheduling wise.
“But now we have a great time for tennis where we hope we have a healthy Andy Murray on the stage for 2018, a healthy Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka.
“If we get that again, plus Rafael Nadal, plus Grigor Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev using up, it’s going to be a great 2018.”
